Hey there, I’m Shait — a barista, a curious learner, and someone who finds meaning in the little details, especially in coffee. Since 2018, I’ve explored coffee across diverse settings — from commercial cafés in Nepal, to a coffee-focused food truck in Al Ain, to leading a café team in Abu Dhabi. Over the years, I’ve operated as a head barista, team leader, consultant, and mentor. I’ve worked events, advised home brewers, helped cafés refine their taste and workflow, and supported friends behind the scenes in both national and international coffee competitions. I’ve also had the privilege of working in luxury specialty coffee environments, including Mokha 1450 in Dubai, and have served at high-end events where consistency, experience, and service excellence are key. Today, I work with Harvestbelt Coffee in Sales and Quality Control — a green coffee company based in Dubai that connects with roasteries across the region. My role allows me to bridge the worlds of green and roasted coffee, ensuring quality from origin to roast, and sharing knowledge with the growing coffee community. I’m a Q Grader and an SCA Instructor for the Introduction to Cupping Workshop. I hold a Diploma in Hospitality Management and certifications in Barista Skills and Sensory Skills (Foundation to Professional), along with advanced Barista Hustle courses such as Coffee Quality Control, Advanced Espresso, and The Water Course. In 2025, I proudly took 2nd place at The Barn Coffee Olympics in Dubai, and in 2024, I competed in the UAE National Coffee in Good Spirits Championship — a creative high point and a big learning experience in my coffee journey so far. Sip n Speak is simply my space to share — no pressure, no promises. Just honest thoughts, useful experiences, ideas I’m exploring, and the kind of conversations that make this industry richer and more human. Vision: To bridge the gap between specialty coffee and everyday understanding. To be a middle voice — connecting baristas, brewers, roasters, and communities through education, honesty, and heart. Let’s sip. Let’s speak.
